I did  a cooking demo on Saturday morning at our Church's Ladies Brunch.  It made me feel happy and reminded me how much I love cooking and Pampered Chef.

I made Bountiful Brunch Pizza- so yummy!

I made Mediterranean Chicken Sandwiches- they were so good!  From my June Tastebuds Shipment.

I'm planning to make the honey mustard pretzel chicken tonight.

I did it. I signed up for Miles and Macros and the training plan starts today!  I really hope being part of this group helps hold me accountable and run consistently through the summer.

I tried Pampered Chef's new Vanilla Smoothie Mix for a recovery breakfast :D

The Baked Brie Sunflower was so easy and yummy!  I highly recommend it!
Hannah already asked if we could make it again.

Learner Permit, crochet progress and PC stuff

Hannah got her Learner's Permit on Friday

I finally finished week 2 of the Attic 24 Spring Frost CAL

On to week 3!
It's starting to feel blankety and I am loving it so much! I'm envisioning it in my future library on a big comfy reading chair...

Monday I came home to a squeaky clean kitchen.  Hannah did some deep cleaning while I was at work.  It looked amazing!

The Deluxe Cooking Blender is on sale this month.  I call mine Peggy.

Yesterday I did a LIVE video making a smoothie on my FB page
You can check it out HERE.  Tonight I am going to make peanut butter.
Happy Wednesday!

Pampered Chef, Book Club and Running....just a few of my favorite things!

I made this recipe the other night from my May Tastebuds shipment- it was super yummy! I subbed chicken for the shrimp and would definitely make again.  I ate it for lunch yesterday too.

New Summer Products are available NOW!
I'm super excited to try the new sizzle skillet!

I have so far tried the Cucumber Mojito mix- I just used water and it was delish!
(You can also use sparkling water or add a shot of your favorite spirit).

Last night was book club.  This month's read was a real page turner!
Water's Edge by Robert Whitlow

New selection for July- The Love Letter by Rachel Hauck.  It is currently available to read for free with an Amazon Prime membership on Kindle.

While we were camping last weekend I finished this book.  It was very good and left me wanting to lace up my running shoes ;-)

I stumbled across this book on our last trip to Barnes and Noble.  Of course that cover caught my attention! It takes place in England and is a group of ladies running through cancer treatment. Kiera, is diagnosed with breast cancer in the opening chapters.  While waiting on the bench outside the clinic she meets Tamsin who is running by and later sees in the halls of the hospital, Tamsin encourages Keira to lace up her trainers and join her some morning.

The author had breast cancer in 2017 and wanted to read a book about cancer that wasn't depressing- so she wrote one.  It is delightful and heartwarming. This will be a re-read and one I am glad is part of my personal collection.

Wednesday was Global Running Day. The run was slightly suckish, but at the same time I started to toy with the idea of running a 10K the end of July (in part because of the above book :P ).

Today's run felt amazing! Our time was like 5 minutes faster for the same route but in reverse. We really got into our groove running down the hill. I kept Bruno moving most of the first miles.  He got a little distracted once we hit the park...so many smells! Unfortunately the second mile home is pretty much ALL uphill :P

I am super excited to see what a month of consistent running and yoga can do.  I printed off a 10K training plan- after completing week one next week I will sign up for the run.

Foodie Friday!

Happy Friday everyone! Are you as happy as I am that its finally FRIDAY!!  I have to admit I have been on a little bit of a foodie/pampered chef high this week!

As I was making our deep dish pizzas last night we did another quick live to show one of our cheese graters and our cheese knife and new storage containers (whose lids double as cutting boards!) You can view it >HERE<  I just love the thumbnails FB picks for lives. :P

Our Shared Rewards party is still open and has hit the 25% discount! I am blown away! I have almost hit my goal for March with this one party and have earned level one of the summer products! (Once this party is submitted!) I am sooooo excited!
You can still order until Tuesday!

I am also looking for more hosts to keep the party going! =D

OR have you ever thought about trying on the apron yourself?? Check out this deal! You can literally join for $25 right now and get the letters and numbers cake pan absolutely FREE! Plus you have the chance to earn the Flex+ Multi-Prep Set! FREE- that is the cordless food processor, hand mixer and immersion blender set that was introduced last fall! I don't even have it yet!!  I'd be happy to tell you more about it. ;) Just send me a message or leave a comment.

This morning our first PC party at our new house was in my memories! Ah how I have missed in person parties! I love cooking for people.... food really is my love language! Yes I watched the whole video this morning =D I also miss doing videos with Mikayla on a regular basis.

I joined Bri McCoy's cook club.

I popped on her live zoom call last night, right after I got off my book club zoom!  I found Bri because she and Shannon Martin were doing a instaLive with Anne Bogel. I became an instant Bri McCoy fan! I was sold on this club because it covers so many loves, cooking and foodie reading and cocktails/mocktails. :P  Not to mention Bri herself.  Every other month she is hosting a book club discussion.  The first is Crying in H Mart which I have already read.

Last night she made Lemon Drop Martinis... I made the mocktail version. It was so pretty and delicious. Tart and crisp. I will be making another tonight to enjoy while I watch my PC training and clean my house :P because I have neglected it all week. *Multitasking at its best.
For the Mocktail
  • Lemon soda water
  • Juice from half a clementine
  • Juice from half a lemon
  • 1 TBS honey simple syrup
Instructions:

Rim your glass with sugar. Add all ingredients, except for the soda water, to a glass filled with ice. Stir well to incorporate. Top off with lemon soda water. Enjoy!

*I did not have a chance to make honey simple syrup and just used reg simple syrup we already had in the fridge.  Also mine is pink because I did not have a clementine and used a blood orange instead.

I also preordered The Lazy Genius Way since it will be the June book club read and I wanted to be invited to the online book launch party :P  the 22 of this month even though the book is delayed until May 3 as it "maybe at the bottom of the ocean now".

I'm also listening to Stanley Tucci's book Taste.  I have loved him since seeing him in Julie and Julia and also The Devil Wears Prada. I recently saw him on Racheal Ray and promptly put the audio book on my hold list at the library.

I'm super excited to try sous vide cooking tomorrow! I'll let you know how it turns out.

Have a wonder weekend!

March!

It's March and the new month fills me with such hope!  I am looking forward to spring! Celebrating 42 years of life and 18 years with Pampered Chef!  Seeing Hamilton with my girls on my birthday weekend!

Goals for March include...

  • starting a 5K training plan to get ready for the Teal Ribbon Run in May
  • having a nightly quiet time to reflect and journal and review my day
  • read another book from my Unread Shelf- not sure which one yet

I had my pampered chef spring kickoff party last night and it was great! It felt so wonderful to have an in person party again! You can still join the group on FB if you want to check out the live video demo- HERE.

To check our the catalog or to order go HERE. This is a shared rewards party- meaning everyone gets a discount on their order! Currently it is 10% but will go up as party sales increase... up to 25%.

Here is an overview of all the fun new spring products!

We made Pressure Cooker Barbacoa Burrito Bowl With Cilantro-Lime Rice and also Fried Pickle Dip.  Both these recipes can be found in the new Season's Best and also on the website.

I only got a tiny taste as I was cleaning up and it was so good! I will definitely be making again frequently.  I seriously thought about making it again tonight!  But Hannah didn't seem to thrilled so I am making Chicken Alfredo and trying out the slow cook function....  I needed a quick, easy recipe for tonight as I'm planning to go to our church's Ash Wednesday service. So now all I need to do is shred the chicken add cream cheese and cook noodles. =D

Saturday I am planning to try the Sous Vide setting which is one of the big main changes from the Quick Cooker. I watched a video of Libby and Sandy making this recipe in the Pampered Chef Test Kitchens and it looked super yummy! Sous Vide Fire Roasted Chicken  I am hoping to do a couple LIVE videos on Saturday so be sure to swing by Amy's Pampered Kitchen and check them out ;-)

Never heard of Sous Vide? Check this out...

This is the  NEW Dulce de Leche cake mix- it is beyond delicious! The mix is already in my cart to reorder ;)

I didn't take any pictures during; surveying the aftermath felt tiring but good and it was very satisfying to return order to my kitchen.

Signs of a good party!

Chance had his fill of peopling.
