New Coffee Shop and some happenings...

Last week was full of ups and downs.  So lets start with the best. đŸ’–Saturday was our 2nd sisters coffee date.  We visited a brand new just opened coffee shop in my town and we loved it!

I got the seasonal coffee flight.  It was so yummy. From left to right- Cinnamon Roll, Peppermint Mocha, Peppermint White Bark, and Nutella Latte.  The two peppermint ones were very similar, not surprisingly.  The cinnamon roll one was my favorite!

Also got to snuggle the littlest nephew.

Thursday Chance had to have a mass removed from his back leg. It was stressful.  The vet commented that he was very high stress.  What can I say, Chance is my spirit animal. đŸ˜…

We were finally able to pick him up at 6:30 that evening and bring him home.  He was still pretty groggy from the anesthesia. He perked up a bit and gave some serious tail wags when Hannah got home from practice a couple hours later.
By Saturday he was feeling much better and very happy to go on a short walk.

This morning I left him tucked in, warm and cozy in our bed!

Our second child moved out this week.  Its a very surreal feeling. Honestly I'm having a little trouble coming to terms with it.  I am not ready for this new phase.

Friday night I made delicious Chicken Street Tacos.  In the morning I marinated the chicken in Everything Taco Seasoning, juice of a lime, some EVOO.

When I got home I cooked the chicken in my air fryer for around 20 minutes.  It came out so juicy and delicious.

I also had leftovers for lunch as a salad with a Copycat Chipotle Vinaigrette.

I did get in a long run on Saturday outside- much to Bruno's delight!

I am happy January is almost done.  That days are slowly getting longer again.

Happy Birthday, Sweet 16!

Somehow this sweet little nugget turned 16 years old yesterday! My last little.  I can not believe it.

The day did not go as planned.  But I hope she still had a lovely day.  There was lots of laughter.

While we are church a winter storm rolled in and our drive home was a little dicey.  We made it safe and sound.  Because of the weather Mikayla and Dylan (who live farther north) did not chance the journey.  My heart was incredibly sad. The girls did FaceTime later in the afternoon though.

Her best friend lives one street up the hill from us though and Rhett was able to still make it there to pick her up to join us for Hannah's Birthday dinner.

Sometimes Bruno thinks he's a human.

I was not pleased to begin the season of anxiety ridden winter driving but it sure did look pretty. (Once I was safely home and warm).

While shopping on Saturday I found a Christmas hoodie in Chance's size!

Ending with this excerpt from my devotions this morning...

GoodyBox, Terrible Run and Hannah's Room progress

Friday my friend asked me to stop by on my way to work- she surprised me with Birthday Blueberry Muffins.  It made me feel so happy to sit and share a cup of coffee and a chat.

I ordered myself a goody box for my birthday- a style box from ThredUp.

This is my favorite outfit from the box- I wore it to church yesterday and definitely keeping.  I have been wanting a denim skirt like this and was overjoyed to get one in my box. I love the sweater, it is a light cotton knit.  The yellow makes me think of sunshine and sunflowers!

I actually loved almost everything in this box.

I am not sure I can pull off this dress but also want to step out of my box a little so to speak. Mikayla and her room mate loved it- (I sent her pics to show her what I got) So I guess if all else fails I could always give it to Mikayla. :P

Both pairs of jeans fit amazingly well- something like a miracle! Still deciding on keeping this shirt and jeans.

Pretty sure I am going to keep this one- I wasn't sure about the shirt until I tried it on- but I really liked it.  The jeans are super soft and comfy.

I think I am sending this shirt back- I like it but don't love it- and think it clings a bit too much around the middle.

There is also a denim jacket and a scarf (not pictured) I am sending back.  I like the scarf well enough in theory but in actuality think I look weird and too bulky.

Plus it's spring now so...
Chance was not overly impressed by the whole deal.

He was super anxious to go for a walk.  I'm looking forward to it being light enough to walk them again  in the morning before work.

My run this weekend was horrible! I didn't even make it the full 8 miles I planed on. I'm not sure what went wrong.  It was probably one of the worst runs of my life. I seriously almost called the Mister to come get me but ended up just walking home. Ended up with 7.3ish miles of moving forward, putting one foot in front of the other... I was even more perplexed because Wednesday's run felt soooo amazing!

Oh, well- it's a new day, a new week and I am super excited for my run tonight.

I ordered my new running shoes this morning and I can not wait for them to get here!

Progress is being made in Hannah's room- Hannah and Rhett painted this weekend.  Hopefully soon she will be able to move back into her own space. It is a very light gray called- "Grayish".  I can not wait to see the finished room!

Can you believe EASTER is this weekend????  This morning I put out our cross from the church- the daffodil buds making me feel hopeful in spite of the snow.
