I have a living hope...I have a future....

Oh this weekend was hard. So very hard. To know never again will we be able to gather at Grammy's- that this is no longer Grammy's. That it will belong to strangers. No longer the center and hub of our family. I am so thankful for the 40 plus years that I have been able to call this house Grammy and Pa's. I am thankful for the cherished memories we have here. I am thankful my children too had the privilege of knowing and loving and being loved by Grammy and Pa.

Grammy's piano now has a place of honor in our home. Hannah lovingly playing the keys, filling our home with music.

Mom and Dad now have this super amazing table! Many memories around it and many more to come.

My Snuggle Pup is glad I am home again. <3

Yesterday's run wearing my first Half Marathon/Snyder Runner shirt. Reminding me I can do hard things.  Of good memories with the Snyder Clan.  That everything will be OK.

This morning I watched the Church Service I missed on Sunday.  I am so thankful for this Church Family.  That ultimately my hope is not in houses and things but Jesus. 💖

Grammy's

This morning I woke up to see this picture in my Facebook memories.

All week various "Grammy and Pa" memories have been popping up. You see, today is their wedding anniversary. And tomorrow is Grammy's birthday.  We would frequently make the 5 hour drive to Grammy and Pa's for this weekend to celebrate.

This year is majorly different. We are going to Grammy's house today, for one of the last times.

In January she moved into assisted living. In just a few short weeks her house is going up for auction. My heart is so very sad.  The end of an era.

So many of my memories are at this house. Surrounded by my grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. While I knew this day would come, for some reason my heart foolishly thought it never would, that it would always be Grammy's.

It'll be the first time I walk through that door without her there to greet me- exclaiming "You made good time!"  Or apologizing because I'm always the last hugged (after my kids).

That time as fully grown adults we had to prove we could all still fit in the wagon of Pa's tractor.  How may tractor rides he gave us over the course of our childhood.

The next generation of cousins enjoying the swing where we spent countless hours as kids.

I'm thankful for this legacy. Both set of my grandparents remained married for a lifetime. I am thankful that I had all 4 of my grandparents into my adulthood.  They all played such a vital role in my life.

Something to strive for...

tired

Outside my window... its grey and drizzly.  BUT above FREEZING! Last night when I drove home ti was 53!! Spring!!!

I am thinking... I am so tired today.  Bone weary.  Is it over yet???

I am thankful... for family.  We had such a wonderful weekend down at Grammy's.  We have a pretty great family. #SnyderClan

I am going... to train hard from today on. My sister made this training plan.  I am frustrated and discouraged but hopefully its not too late to get my act together and still meet my goal. Oh my gosh it is so close!!!
I am wondering... if I can really do it ^^^

BUT my MOM and Aunt and supposedly my Uncle are running the 5K! That was exciting news this weekend!  I planted the idea in Hannah's head of running the Kids Race.  Last night she said she wanted to do it {with out any further prompting}.  It'll be next week before I can sign her up and get her the promised new running shoes.  Hopefully she will still want to. =)

I am reading... The heiress of Winterwood by Sarah E Ladd; from my local library

I am hoping... I really hope tonight goes by fast. I just want to be done and back home in my jammies with my book.

Around the house... it needs some attention.  It feels like it somehow imploded while we were gone, but hopefully tomorrow night I can get back on track. :-)

In the kitchen... the kids are having chicken sandwiches tonight.  I am a little sad to not be home and make fun ST Patrick's Day recipes.  Perhaps we will just have to observe it another day.

I am pondering... the below quote from The Runner's Devotional this morning.

A favorite quote for today...

One of my favorite things... Coffee, I almost had a complete meltdown, and may have had a bit of a temper tantrum, when part if the keurig was missing this morning.  Ryan finally found it for me and NO ONE will admit to taking it out. Don't mess with mama's coffee.

I am so jealous of the official PGH bloggers!  I remember last year as we drove to Pennsylvania for the marathon I saw a group picture of the bloggers in their official blogger shirts.  Maybe someday I will be a "real" blogger. ;-)

A few plans for this week: My week's a blur.  But am looking forward to celebrating two sweet little boys' birthdays on Saturday turning 3 and 1 respectively.

A peek into one of my days from last week...
We are also enjoying having my brother's family around. #Cousins are #awesome
