Thanksgiving things

We had a lovely Thanksgiving dinner at my parents house.

Best Mom and Dad on the planet.
Christmas lights!

The boys were quite anxious for their walk on Saturday!

I started reading this book on Thanksgiving and am very much enjoying it. It is about loving people like Jesus around your kitchen table...  Bri McKoy is one of my favorite people on the internet 💖

Tomorrow is December and I can hardly believe it!  Now I am thinking about Advent and all the Christmassy things.  Friday is our annual Christmas Shopping date- where the mister and I do the bulk of our Christmas shopping together. Saturday we are getting our tree.

Weekend Happenings...

I took Friday off from work to use up some of my vacation days.  Added bonus- Rhett has Friday's off and we had a little lunch date.

Then I went to a library craft with my friend and made this ice cream cone ornament- which may find its way into my SS prize box :P
In the evening was our Ladies Craft Night at church- we had so much fun and there was so much laughter!

Saturday I walked both dogs and then took Bruno to Green Lakes for a run.  He was over the top excited.  It was a darn near perfect running day.  It was chilly but not too cold.  Not too many people out on the trails.

Looking very Novembery

I love these kids so much!  We had such a lovely class on Sunday morning.

I went to bed feeling worn and discouraged last night.
I watched War Room again to remind myself of the power of prayer.

I couldn't muster the energy to clean my kitchen last night.
So I woke up to this...

But it made me super happy to restore it to this-

Today starts my Home for the Holidays Shared Rewards Party!
It is an online party on Pampered Chef's Table Platform
There is still plenty of time to get in on the fun!
The shopping link is open today, 11/14 through next Monday 11/21

Happy Monday!
I hope its the start to a great week.

just another wednesday

I'm grumpy and cold today and having a hard time pulling myself out of my funk :P

I voted! My polling place was hopping.  Its the first time I had to wait in line maybe ever! 😅  And there were no stickers.... but I voted and picked up my library holds.

I did a quick live video on my Amy's Pampered Kitchen page for Taco Tuesday.

And then did too much of this....

Registration opens tomorrow for the Syracuse Half! (for past participants).
Planning on one more canal run tonight before I switch to treadmill running.

running, cook book club and election day- Go Vote! :-)

The weather this weekend was glorious- very unseasonable.  But I reveled in soaking in the extra sunshine!  Bruno and I enjoyed our run on the creekwalk.

These pens where 50% off on Target.com last week.
I bought them for my planner and journaling and they are amazing.
I might have a slight pen obsession. ;-)

These are the ones I pulled for my November pages.

Friday night was our 2nd Cook Book Club! At first I was frustrated and discouraged that a lot of people couldn't make it at the last minute. It ended up being me, my mom, my sister, my sister-in-law and niece.  We had such a lovely time that my grumpiness did not last long!
My mom set a beautiful table.
Oh and two nephews ;-)

Our cook book this month was The Unofficial Bridgerton Cookbook
and we had a fancy tea party theme.

I can not wait for our next one- Christmas Cookie Exchange!

Yummy recipes for Sunday dinner yesterday!

Beef & Sweet Potato Chili-

I also made these chocolate chip cookies to take to my House Church Group Friendsgiving last night.  There were super yummy! They are also gluten free (one of the ladies in our group is gluten free, as is my nephew).  So I am buying a few more to have on hand ;) for occasions such as these.  PC also has a gluten free brownie mix I want to try next.

I decided to squeeze in one more evening outdoor canal run.  My watch said sunset was 4:49, I get out of work at 4:30 and I was nervous how fast darkness would encroach.  The sun was dipping noticeably low as I walked to my car but I hoped for the best.  I'm so glad I did.  I'm starting to feel a bit more confident again. Hopefully enough so to keep me moving as winter draws near.  Planing to pay super close attention to when it it dark tonight to see if I can rish one more outdoor run tomorrow or if I should switch to my parents' treadmill.

This morning it was Morning Flow Yoga with Adrienne.... and Bruno :P

It's election day! I will be stopping to vote and pick up my library holds on my way home.  I love that my library is also my polling place!
